Beauty from Her Ashes

Some things to remember when we are tempted to criticize other women. And let’s face it, we are all tempted to criticize…

She didn’t want to take charge of her life. She had to. She would much rather have had someone care for, coddle, and cater to her.

She didn’t want to be so tough. She had to. She would much rather have had someone love her enough to stand up for her, fight for her, and make her feel safe and secure.

She didn’t want to be so strong. She had to. She would much rather have had someone hold her close, reassure her, and tell her everything would be okay.

She didn’t want to be so bossy. She had to. She would much rather have had someone making a way for her, helping her reach her goals, and encouraging her to make the best decisions.

She didn’t want to be so distant. She had to. She would much rather have had someone speaking kind words to her, forgiving her mistakes, and teaching her to trust.

She didn’t want to be so introverted. She had to. She would much rather have had someone telling her how beautiful she is, encouraging her to share her thoughts, and making her feel worthy.

She didn’t want to be so fearful. She had to. She would much rather have had someone hold her close and reassure her everything would be okay.

She didn’t want to be so many things. She had to. But, God knew every obstacle she would face, every trial she would endure, every valley she would walk through, and every mountain she would climb.

He knew. So He made her exactly what she needed to be.

His creation. His masterpiece.

So be careful. What you see as her weakness, God sees as her strength. He is making beauty from her ashes.

Love and hugs,
Kathy
